where did you get RF from budge?

the manual box in the aussie u12 ca20e is a RS5F50A, the auto gearbox in the aussie u12 ca20e is a RL4F02A

the manual boxes in the aussie ka24e are RS5F50A & RS5F50V, the auto boxes are RE4F02A & RE4F02V (the V is the LSD box)

Fraz and I were talked about which box to use with a CA18DET.  He said the RF series are better but they seem to be on the SR motors, with only the RL boxes on the CA series motors.

So it looks like I'll be using an RL series box.

My computer is mounted on the left hand side under the kick panel.
Also i dotnt have a SELF DIOGNOSTIC computer Pintara's do.

So is the ca18de head a bolt on setup or not??? If it is, does the computer and loom and all that shit have to be changed as well???

its a bolt on
ca20 gasket, whip off the head and fit ca18de head/manifolds/loom/ecu
the loom will fit easily but you will need to do a bit of modifying
i can supply diagrams for all the wiring and the plumbing of the vacumn lines

i have modified the ca18de loom i have to fit my u12 and doen the wiring necessary in the car. The head is prepped and in abount a month when i have some more coin, i will get the ca20 block skimmed, and fit some new rings/bearings/oil pump. should be running in a month

na, sorry man, what you need to do is to cut the ca18de one, put it on and measure the gap between the ends, make sure the tensioner is wound off, and go to repco/appco/pioneer etc and ask for a ca18de belt with how ever many teeth you need extra.
i cant remember, but it was around 7 or 8 teeth i think

a little trim up tonight after i got home from work

will gove it a little sand to smooth the file marks.
not going to run the rear cover as it is not needed.

The coil packs are all brittle because it gets really hot under the cover. Im going to run 4 coils on an aluminum plate at the end of the head with some short leads to the plugs
