lowering with stock shocks
« on: Nov 7, 2004, 07:38PM »
I wanting to put king spring lows on my car, do i really have to change the shocks? or is there enough travel in the stock shocks that it dosent matter.

because i'm hearing alot of mixed opinions, with some people saying that u only really need to replace the shocks if you are dropping it more than 2".

has anyone here just put springs on and not changed shocks? any problems?

As long as the shocks in the car now are in good condition and not worn out, some king lows will be fine. Most generally only change the shocks when they do the springs cos they're usually worn out.

just take your car to pedders or something and get a suspension check. its like $15 and they'll put your car on this shockie tester thing. tells you exactly what condition your shocks are in.
