idle drop off

anybody know wats going on with a idle that one minute is perfect the next it drops off  and wants too stall and have to rev it to keep it going.

does it only do it when u start the cars sumtimes? coz it does it to me sumtimes but only when iv started the car, and i have to sit there revin till it kicks in

Clean your idle air control valve.

Check for any air leaks etc...

does the 2.4L have the IAC ,

in a book that i have it only indicates it on the 2.0L

yeah it does...but it might be called the Auxiliary Air Control or AAC.
