Oil Pressure Guage
« on: Aug 14, 2007, 02:13PM »
Hi there guys, Just wondering how i can get the Oil Pressure guage working in my Pintara T. I got the guage off a TRX. As far as i know the wiring for the Oil Pressure guage should be there as T and TRX uses the same wirings and on top of my oil filter there are two wires, one is attached on top of oil filter and another one is just hanging with it. Do i have to get a different sender switch or what ?,can someone help me with this, any help will be appreciated, thanx.

yeah you need a TRX sender which gives a varied signal rather than just on/off.  The spare wire should connect to it, which should be enough to get it to work.

From memory when i changed mine I had to use an open ended spanner. Cant remember the size sorry.

But you should be able to just unscrew it out, but be warned that you'll probably get covered in oil depending if the engine has had its oil changed or not.
