rocker clearance
« on: May 8, 2007, 05:17PM »
since i got my car over 3 years ago its had noisy rockers, untill just lately only for a couple seconds when i turned the car on and that was it.
now they are noisy for around 5 to 10 minutes after i start it.

I've got the user manual, service guide book thing, but i cant find clearance values for the rockers and cam and valves.

So anyone who knows these values or has beter eye site when looking through the service manual than i could help, that'd be look.

thanks

They're hydraulic lifters in the 2.4l Pintaras so they don't need adjusting, hence no clearance values will be listed anywhere.

You should be able to find heaps of info if you search 'noisy lifters' in the search box at the top of the page.

What oil are you using? How often is it changed?
