Trunk Battery Relocation Wiring

Hi All ,

I relocated the battery to the boot, and i'm runing 2 gauge cable.  How have other people connected all the old wires to the new one?

 i have kind of welded them together and double shrink wrapped over the top.
Is there some kind of block available?

I think if you have a search someone on here has already done this with their U13.

Contact Wolf In Sheeps Clothing, he might  be able to help you out.

i just made a diy about this but i havn't put it up yet.

yes there is a block, it's called a distribution block.

Um, i wouldnt go about welding cables that are that thick. All thick cables are crimped with high quality terminals or placed in a distribution block and screwed into place. It will work, but i bet it will oxidise the copper quicksmart.

If you solder them, make sure you do it properly using a small blow torch or something similar to get enough heat into the cable. Make sure the solder actually soaks into the wiring, if it just sits on top of the wire it isn't hot enough.
