aircon leaking on passenger floor

Hey guys i'm sure this is not a new one, aircon leaking onto the passenger side floor, and the aircon has to be going otherwise car overheats

Where abouts on the Pintara superhatches is the drain hole for this issue?
couldn't find the topic covered in my manual i bought

if you look underneath the passenger side you can see the thin black tube that drains the fuid out of the car. it might be disconnected. I'm not sure where it goes after that but i'd say the oulet would be blocked.

well firstly the aircon doesnt leak fluid so it will be your heater core inside the car, so top your coolant up in your radiator as this will be why the car is finding it hard to keep the temp down. the reason it will be cooler with the aircon on is coz the cooling fans will be on the whole time.

aircon uses gas and rely's on heat to keep the air running through the aircon cold.

jump under your dash and have a look at your heater core, im sure someone round here would have a picture of what it looks like and where the most likely source of the leak is coming from. the most likely source is the hoses that go through the firewall from the engine bay into the car and into the heater core. check this out first.

to top up your rad coolant:
when the car is cold (when you first start it) have the radiator cap off and top up with fluid. make sure that your heater is on so the coolant running through the core flows through the entire system aswell. this will eliminate bubbles.
when the car is running the fluid will drop and when it does just top it up. once the car is up to operating temp (ie: halfway up the temp gauge on the dash) and you have topped up the coolant, put the cap back on and top up the coolant overflow bottle to the marks on the side of the bottle. do not fill the bottle all the way to the top.

that should fix up the over heating problem as long as you find the leak at the heater core

The tube for the evaporator condensate drain just runs into the engine bay, thats why you see water dripping from your car when the aircon has been running. The tube is most likley split.  I had the same problem with mine once. It turned out that the evaporator was blocked up with leaves and twigs etc which blocked the drain, causing the evaporator to fill with water. I just opened the evaporator up slightly and blew all the shit out with an airgun.

As for the overheating it sounds as if the fans are not coming on. Try cleaning the red plug and spades on the thermistor. It is near the thermostat.

And check your coolent level, just to keep Craazy happy.
