engine upgrades

hi everyone i found this sit yesterday so i had to join im still new to the format of ur site so sorry if im a nonscence

i have a CA20 powered 1990 ford corsair, atm im havain it rubed back and respary metallic silver with a gold pearl and gold flakes in the clear over the top . it has 15" soon to be updated to spinners when i get the cash . one of my mate has a 1996 ford mondeo that he rode off but the damage to the car hasn't damaged the engine and running gear so he offered it to me, it's the 100kw 2ltr ztec with a 5 speed manual he offered me the running gear the wiring loam and computer as well all for $500 what do u guys think i should go through with it or will it be to much fuck assign around . any advice would be much appreciated

yeah the local tyre place said they will set me back bout $3500 so they mite be a long way off

if you can't afford $3500 for spinners then you wont be able to afford to have someone install a ford mondeo engine into your car.......  ::)

welcome to the site and all that formality.

just a helpful hint. Rice in the form of spinners it looked down apon in these circles. As is excessive amounts of chrome, extra decals, HUMUNGOUS stickers, seat covers and anything else that would suit someone driving a lancer.

hit the nail on the head there Tas. yeah sorry but you'd be wasting your $$ ash. if you want 100+ kw a lot cheaper, go for the ka24de.
I was quoted $1500 for one of these with loom & ecu. SSStick got a mtr for $700 i think. would be 'A LOT' easier to fit.

I doubt you'd have much luck finding a KA24DE in tassie, but it's worth a shot so just ring around as many wreckers as you can.

i live on the north west coast i'll do the ring around tomorra to sea wat i come up with . is it worth puttin a twin cam head and a 4agze super charger on my ca20

the twin cam head has been done on the KA24 and i dont know if anyone has put CA18DE on the CA20 might be kinda more difficult
If only the KA24E was KA24ET!!
