what do you mean by 'cluster'? Do you mean getting the whole gauge/lens thingy out of the car, or removing the gauges from each other, or disassembling the gauges themselves?

just get on your hands and knees and find all the screws...pretty simple really. There should be about 4 under the gauge cluster, then another 6-7 around the radio fascia.

Can you please clarify what you mean by "cluster cover" is it the L shaped facia panel that goes around the where the radio is and the air temp knobs. Or are you talking about the black bit that goes around the air vents and gauge cluster?

The former should be EASY to get out. I just double checked and its only 8 screws, the only thing that should be connected to it behind it are the wires for your hazard lights, de-mister and fog light buttons. I have taken this panel off a few times to install my head unit and once you have the screws out it basically should fall out.

Chad

Anyone care to post a picture of the dash of a U12? I can't seem to find any and I don't have any pis myself. It might help matters.

Ah, that bit.

First thing, take out all the screws. Three above the fan/temp/aircon controls, note the middle one is longer.
5 across the top (Upside down).
2 above steering wheel column, and one or two to the right of that.

I'll suggest taking off the top of the steering column cover too. Otherwise it obstructs the airvents bit.

When all the screws are out, pull the left side (with the two airvents) out a bit. Then get a small flathead screwdriver, wedge it inbetween the downward curve (so between this panel and the big top one) near the single right-side airvent, and lever it, it should pop out.

Then you just gotta pull it out, a bit tricky to get the back of the airvents over things. Move it to the left, towards the passenger door.

And next time please try to tell everyone what you mean, if you had've said "The part with the airvents and clock" I would've known straight away what you were talking about.
