Attaching spoiler to my TRX!!!
« on: Jun 11, 2005, 07:44PM »
Hey guys im new to this forum and have very recently purchased a 1990  Pintara TRX.

when i bought it the spoiler was taken off and the clips on the spolier have broken.

Now, is there any way of reattaching the SPOILER to the car by firstly fixing the attachment on the spoiler its self.

also the two side (left & right)  indicators next to the headlights arent working and have the plastic covers missing!!!!

so any ideas on the repair of these items.

cheers guy.

just go to a wreckers to get the side cornering lights replacements ........and for the spoiler just leave it off .....they look better without them

and fill the wholes up ....and paint

You can get brand new, non genuine, cornering lights from rare spares and possibly other places for around $30 each, I wouldn't be suprised if the wreckers wanted more than that for second hand lights.

bah, don't listen to this nonsense bigpud:
"and for the spoiler just leave it off .....they look better without them "

Check out the members rides section and compare say 'bungs''s TRX with RichTRX's or mine... ;D

I have two cornering lights for sale... they are off my import U12.  They are more 'white' than the standard aussie cornering lights, but are not cracked in any way.

PM me if your interested mate (the pair will be going cheap :)).

I paid $25 for my cornering light. Was quoted up to $55. New ligts were some ghastly price I dont recall.

also the two side (left & right)  indicators next to the headlights arent working and have the plastic covers missing!!!!

Just to clarify, theye not normal indicators. They only come on when the headlights are on as well as the indicator. If they still dont work, globes or fuse are likely buggered. Probably water in them with no covers.

Spoiler attachment should be pretty self evident. Just screw/bolt through thge original holes. Or just clean the holes up and leave it off. Either way the car still looks good.

As for that lip, easy fix if you're habdy with fibreglass, or grab a new one if you're lucky enough to find one. They come off easy
