rear number plate section (Now called: RNPS)

I have had discussion with a few fellow qntrx'ers and we have decided to flatten the part out where the number plate mounts on the rear. Corsairs already have this, but pinnys dont, and personally its the only thing that lets the car down in looks. So what we are going to attempt to do next weekend, is make a fibreglass mould of the area and then flatten and smooth it with some bog...I assume. Also to go is my aerial mount on the top side of the rear panel, my door locks and boot lock. Has anyoen any furthe suggestions as to how we can smooth ther rear number plate section off, and if there isnt a proper name for that bit lets just called it the RNPS

I'm not too familiar with the pintara sedan rear numberplate mount, but I can't think of anything wrong with them?

Wat about numberplate lighting and such? I think it could look worse if you have to have roadworthy necessary items jutting out of the body of the car..

I don't think that matters at all... Sharms likes the corsair rear end and thats all that matters.

I still kindof don't understand but I think this is right ..

Corsairs have the two side taillight things, and inbetween is a lookalike part connecting the two (along the top) and a flat, plain part underneath.

Pintaras have the smaller part joining the two taillight sets together, and then the black indented part where the numberplate is mounted and has the illumination lamps.

From what I can gather, you basically want to change the pintara rear to be like the corsair one - plain and flat. However I gotta say, when you consider that the numberplate and illumination lamps (which will also have to be covered so they're not just omnidirectional lighting) will be jutting out from the otherwise flat surface, no offense but I reckon it wouldn't look very good at all

Either you'd have to pull off some clever tricks to make it look good, or perhaps the easier option, put a Corsair rear centre part and bumper on.

you'd have to change the panel that runs underneath the lights aswell for that to work as its different on corsairs and pintaras.

i've currently got a corsair and a pintara sedan so any q's on what you can and cant swap just ask

I think it would look good, the only issue is the lights for the number plate (unless you put the number plate down where the corsairs is)

Personally i think just color coding the RNPS with the rest of the car (as i've done) looks best.

That it is. I am the complete opposite, when the U12 rnps is color coded i think it looks far better. There's just something about a stock corsair that i don't like the look of.

yeah both cars have there ups and downs but i dot see anything wrong with having a go at making it flat if that what he wants to do. i think it wouldnt look to bad actually just as long as you can get the lighting situation sorted then it would look nice.

i dont think you would be able to just put on a corsair middle section as there is the metal peice that runs across the bottom of the part that joins the lights together where the pintaras RNPS comes down that bit.....

I've been thinking about getting the "RNPS" from a Pintara Executive and putting it on the TRX. Instead of having the black section (shown in the pic above) surrounding the number plate, it has a section that looks like red brake light plastic. I don't know how it would look - somewhat like the s2 TRX I imagine.

White LEDs along the rear edge of the bumper shining on the number plate 

I say give it a go, show us how it looks If you don't like it, change it back.
