ok... if we (the US guys) can press the price down to US$350 each, would ppl here in ANTRX still be interested?

frankly, the shop was brought to our attention by a fellow member whom purchased a front lip for his B15.. fits well, quite sturdy, good finish.. those were his impression. And Alas!, I haven't been able to find time to drop by their facility yet.. probably toward the end of August.

well, this interest poll was originally done so we can set up a group buy.. in which the hoods will be shipped to someone's garage down there and then you guys can work out the local pickup later. Of course, if we're shipping it 1 by 1, the shipping rate gonna get jacked up.

well, ok, not gonna push you guys, so up yours.

Get some shipping quotes anyway and let us know in this thread. I just have this feeling that it would be expensive....

Its not about the look Vlad.  Its about weight reduction.  The U12 bonnet weighs ALOT.

Having a CF bonnet would be like having two less people in the car.

And yeah, racing/off street dragging is something that you'll see in antrx events later on...

sorry but painting bonnets black has been around for a long time. in aussie it became popular back in the early 70's.
eg; falcon gtho, ford capri gt, torana SLR5000, L34 hatch etc. it was used as a method of stopping the reflection from the sun into the drivers eyes(sometimes matt black was used). it was used on the high performance models that would probably be raced & also set them apart from the base models. my father bought a 1600 capri brand new, black bonnet & 'hot orange' car looked bloody good, that's why i tried it on mine.
Take it to the limit - take it to the track.

lol kranzy no need to flame now!
but yeah the black does look nice, but still itd have a different look to a CF bonnet anyways?
cause the CF bonnet is like all grainyish n stuff isnt it?
ah well, nissman is right tho, i guess its a popular thing to do n it does look pretty cool on some cars
but i guess on a whole ive never really liked the whole thing neways
if your gonna get a custom bonnet with scoops etc, it should stay the same color, otherwise imo
looks pretty gay :/ i guess it all comes down to the opinion of the driver really
if the driver likes it then whos to say it looks crap

but nuff of that, thats pretty far off topic lmao
speakin of what i said above
what does a proper CF bonnet look like?
n like specifically, can you actually get it in other colors? or like spray over it once its made

That's exactly what it is.  The threads are the carbon fibres woven into a mat.
209rwkW stock ... yes, it's a U12!!

can you keep this on topic please VladIvanovic. if you dont like carbon fibre, or black painted bonnets, then there is no need to come along a start having a go at people because they want to get a carbon bonnet.

some people are slowly building their car for the track. nissman is already racing his pintara on the track. some people are aiming for a certain style for their car and they feel that a cf bonnet would be the finishing touch.

One strand of CF is thinner than a human hair, so it has to be woven into a mat.  It's mixed with a liquid resin which then sets and forms the rigidity.
Carbon fibre has recently been developed into a number of different colours.  I have seen pic's of a green supra entirely of CF weive.  CF can be painted over just like any normal panel, although it may look like it has surface texture this is only the wieve reflecting through the resin.
