hmmm if you havent had much experience, i wouldnt compromise security. Whats the point of having a potentially faulty security system ? But its your choice in the end

central locking is pretty easy to install but as for electric windows, they are a bit more complex....and very pricey$$$ i didnt think it was worth it in the end

i remember when i put my central locking in. I had to do a lot of fiddling around to get it running perfect without any probs.. adjusting where it grips, where the actuators' mounted etc etc.. but it works out in the end.

With the security system: -it shouldnt be too hard. Just be careful when installing the bonnet pin and when hooking up the immobiliser to the ignition wire, dont wanna screw that one up! But apart from that, the other connections are to the central locking box, boot pin switch, door pin switch, shock sensor and of course the siren itself..

I find the best place to put a shock sensor is on the steering column. Thats connected to the wheels and thus has the best sensitivity !

ok i know this is old...

when i got my car it had alarm/immobiliser and now i want to fit a central locking kit to it
to connect the central to the alarm i have:

two black wires which both go to motion sensors,
a red wire
a black wire
a white wire

now is there anything that the white wire could go to otha than central?
does the power run through the siren all the time??

thanks a lot if anyone can help
