Congratulations!
I'm not married but I've been best man or tangled up with the matron of honor for a few weddings (1 as groom, 2 best (or worst?) man, 1 was dating the matron of honor) and there are a few little redundant bits of advice (no doubt the aunties and mothers have given it all anyway).
Allow LOTS of time for the photo's. last wedding I was in (October last year) they allowed 4 hours and we still didn't get photo's taken everywhere they wanted to.
get an early start at getting ready. less stress, more time for pampering.
make sure meals are organized (lunch and breakfast) as it's no good fainting at the alter (gives a bad impression to the other family)
the bride may need someone to feed her lunch if she's having fancy work done on her nails.
if your in your nice dark suit and spill a drink on it, don't use tissues to wipe it up (sounds stupid, but I've seen it happen).
make sure your collar is a bit loose when measured for your shirt. most of the grooms found it hard enough to breathe without being choked.
make sure you get a good photographer. I haven't seen it first hand, but having an asshat of a photographer telling you what to do in an arrogant fasion can lead to really poor photos (it's hard to smile when you are 3.2 seconds off choking the bastard!)
book everything well in advance, and confirm at least two weeks and one week before the wedding that the bookings are still ok (mate had a DJ roll up 3 hours late because the dj's missus had left him and taken the booking diary)
something that may appeal (or upset, depending on the people) is an away table at the reception. it's where you put photo's of the people who couldn't be there (the "dearly departed") so at least it feels like there is something of them there. (kinda appeals to me since I lost my father when I was ten)
oh, and try to make sure you get the dress done locally. a mate got hers from a Melbourne company that got them made overseas and it didn't turn up until FOUR days before the wedding, and then it had to be altered and the veil was missing.
other than that, relax and enjoy the day, it's a once in a life time thing.
best of luck and even though it's a very long while away yet, I would love to see some photo's posted up after the event.
hahah antrx guard of honour
A 21 burn out salute?

(yes, very bad joke.)
