Pulsar Gtir bonnet
« on: May 28, 2003, 04:35PM »
Guys, I might be barking up the wrong tree but what are the chances of fitting a Pulsar GTIR bonnet on my Pintara!

Driving in traffic, my baby gets really really hot as many will no.  The grills look cool and would cool her down a bit.  Does any one think this is a viable option? Will it fit? How much will it cost? Or am totally wrong as? hehe

Cheers!

Sorry, but you're dead wrong. The GTiR bonnet will only fit on an N14 Pulsar.

yeah i've looked into this before a while back, and the cheapest i could get a bonnet for was $600, and then it had  to get chopped up and welded onto my bonnet.

but recently, i photoshopped the vents onto my trx, and lets just say that, i'm looking for other ideas for a bonnet vent.  :puke_prv:

Me too, they're coming from the Ford camp. And no, they aren't the ones you're all thinking of. Not even close.  :action-smiley-082:

well, first thing i thought when you said we'd never guess it was that you wouldnt be going for cosworth style vents. although, if they're properly intergrated with your bonnet, they look pretty sweet.

yeah, back to the topic marginally, a gtir bonnet is bad enough on a non turbo pulsar, wouldnt be good on a pintara, its designed to flow cool air onto a top mounted intercooler, better to use something like the cosworth vents which i love, to draw hot air out of the top of the engine bay and get a thermo fan to keep things cooler

I agree with NOFX here
Scoops should only be mounted for functionality
I have couple scoops sitting here that are custom made from a bodyshop that will look pretty cool i think

mate go to jetspeed website, buy the gt4 scoop, mesh it and it will look fuckin tops. thats the one i am going for when i get the money. all u have to do here is mesh it, cut a hole in your bonnet fix it in and paint it. i will post a link of that bonnet scoop on a pulsar when i get time to scan it.
