Ok, done this a few times in the past, i think my record for dropping a cross member is about 20mins

With the mounts on the cross member, don't try removing them individually from the cross member, drop the whole thing.
Undo each nut and bolt that secures the metal sleeve in the front and rear engine mount to the bracketry secured to the block.
Once you have the nut loose on the bolt, don't try and pull them out yet.
Instead, try and support the gearbox and sump as best you can, and try raising both only a LITTLE to allow the bolt still through the mount/bracket to slide out with relative ease. (i'm talking, say, 1/4 to a 1/3 pump of a hydraulic jack at most)
I must STRESS use a block of wood underneath the sump so you don't damage the oil pickup!!
Once each of those bolts running through the front and rear mounts are out, proceed with undoing the cross member's 4 bolts. It drops out very easily, so have something to catch it.
Once it's out of the car, it's dead easy to undo each of the 2 bolts that hold each front and rear mount to the cross member.
Reverse to reinstall the mounts.
For the gearbox and side engine mount, you need to support the gearbox and sump once again, enough so you can easily pull out the bolt running through the centre of each mount. You need to have the 2 mounts on the cross member connected and the cross member attached before you think about doing these 2 side mounts.
Be careful not to strip any of the threads in the aluminium casing of the gearbox, they are easily damaged.
