« on: Jul 27, 2005, 02:09PM »
Hi all...
can anyone tell me what other cars have the same stud pattern and offset as the U12 TRX's..
i'm looking at getting some second hand 16", and it may be easier if i know which cars have the right pattern to ask for
i know exa's have the same, and maybe the S13.. but anything else??

The S13's have a differant offset I'm pretty sure.  R31 have the same stud pattern, but a differant offset as well.

the 910 Bluebird and U13 Bluebird, older Datsuns all do, I think the NA R33's all have 4x114.3 (probably have a touch more offset though, which doesn't really matter. I think the Pintaras can handle up to +45 offset without too many problems, but don't quote me on that   ;)

The offset is 38mm.
If you find some wheels which don't fit on because of too much offset, you can get some spacers (if you want to make it legal they'll have to be tacked (welded) to the wheels).

Old Celicas and Newish Volvos have the same 4 Stud. Dont no if the offset is exactly the same.

Old BMW's do 2.

I have 45 offset 17x7 rims with 215x40x17 tyres and they rub at the back. It was not a major to fix the problem, but its still not a perfect fit.
I tried a set of 40 offset 17's with 215x45 tyres and they just fitted, like by 2mm so i would say they would rub a little under real hard cornering with a couple big boys in the back

To me, 40 offset seemed to be getting close to the strut with 7 inch wide rims, i didnt have a proper look, but i have heard of people running 35 offset with no problems

so your wheels dont sit too far in with 45 offset? coz i have some 16's with that offset and have been very curious about needing or not needing spacers.

nah, they are +45 meaning 45 outwards.
I can get my fingers between the strut and tyre easily. They rub on the rear part of the arch where the bumper joins on.

16's with that ofset will fit no worries

Funny you should mention that... I have an old RA60 Celica with factory mags on it in my back yard. I'll check out the spare rim and see if I can find the offset. They'd probably be heavier than the steelies I have on my Pintara now though.
