Arespeed on a Gli

Guys / gals.

You all know that recently my mate reversed his RX3 into my front end reversing out of his driveway. Anywhoo, he fucked my front end.

Now i have put on an N14 Arespeed custom fibreglass front bar.  Fitted / painted myself!

fuk yeah! that looks sick. i see you've got the same prob as me with the gap between the filler panel and the bumper. howd you go getting the n14 reinforcement bar on? any hassles?

The reinforcement bar went straight in like a charm.  The bolt holes on the reinforcement bar are ofset from the U12. So i just drilled holes to line up and screwd the original screws in and bob's you unkle, piece of piss!

Yeh, i'm thinkin about a rear bar now, don't know what the hell i cud about side skirts tho... :-\

i think it looks awful...... doesnt suit the car..... looks odd.....

looks ok front on... but too muc for my taste... tooo.. ummm 'busy'


good work though, matches up well (fitment wise)

looks like veilsides work????

what does the n14 arespeed rear bar look like? that'd probably fit with a bit of modding. i reckon you need something a little more standoutish than trx skirts to go with that bumper. shouldn't be too much trouble finding skirts that fit. try s14 ones or something.

I'm looking at an arespeed rear bar, same as Glenn has on his trx.  I also need the car lowered to, so TRX skirts might just be enough if i get the car lowered to.. hmmm :-\

Dats coolies.  I admit it doesnt look superb by any means, but i was jsut sick of driving around without a front bar and searching for a stock 1.  This front bar was a quick and easy option.  I think it look a lot better than the stock bar tho.

Also my front bar does not have indicator holes so i was worried about what i was gunna do.  Anyway when i was pissed with my mate we came up with the idea of taking the original front indicators and putting them up in the headlights.  Those side holes, so now i have clear front indicators on my headlights. 

So glad that was an easy hassle fix!

i used my parkers/cornering lights. just changed the globes to orange ones and connected the indicator wires to em.

It'll look alright once you've got sideskirts :D

If I was going to fit other side skirts other than the TRX skirts, I'd copy the TRX design, but make them about twice as high so they go down further... I did a quick rough photochop if you don't understand....

(also I stretched the trx rear skirt down, and fitted an R33 front bar + shaved door handles) pity it's not real :(

OI, you know how the grille has four little clippy things that go into the light mounts and thingy bits, lol.

Well 1 of the clips broke off in the smash and left it a little loose.  Guess what the fuck happened.......

I get home today and my grille has gone.....goneski.

I have no idea where it is, so now i ahve to make some calls to go and find me a front grille, or steal one off another pinnie driver in a car park....j/k..... >:( >:( >:(
