u12 pintara sr20det conversion
« on: Apr 7, 2008, 01:37PM »
G'day all,

I am just starting to look into doing a sr20det conversion into my 91' trx. I have already been advised that the engine mounts need to be modified and that you need to use the sr bellhousing for the original gearbox to marry up. What else needs to be taken into account to do this conversion. Is there anyone in melbourne that knows, and is capable of doing a conversion like this?

Any advise would be great

Thanks,

Nick

Have a read through that mate, I know its long but there is a lot of useful information there.

If you get stuck feel free to ask questions, but you need to do your research first. Im happy to help, but im not going to do it for you :P

Likewise.

You're welcome to ask me about the wiring, but I won't wipe your arse for you.

If you want to do it yourself everything you need to know can be found in the factory service manual on this site, and the ecu pinout for an SR20 is available somewhere on the AEM website... or maybe somewhwere else. I managed to find it on some aftermarket ECU manufacturer's site anyway.
