My grandmother once told me of a mechanics class at the local school welding two ford prefect front ends together the same way and driving it around on the school oval. Oh and there was one like this on a pommie game show on Foxtel a while back. 'Junkyard wars' or something like that. There were 2 teams building cars to get around a really tight obstacle course. They had a driver in both ends and were able to crab the car sideways and turn it around almost on the spot.
