Hopefully someone can help me, i'm after some info/links on making fibreglass body panels, bonnets in particular. Apparently it's easy, just time consuming.

well, i've been wanting to do this for ages now, so if you figure it out & your mould is still good after, i'm keen as! ;D
my theory was, seperate the skin from the frame, cover the underside of the bonnet skin in a few layers of paper to sperate the mould from the original bonnet, and then put fibreglas straight onto that, ensuring you dont put too much resin on the fibreglass, and then once you have a thin fibreglass skin, remove it from the orignal skin, and then fibreglass onto what would be the top, making it to the correct strength & thickness.
are you heading for a lightweight frame for the bonnet as well? or just the skin?

The same was as noss said to do it except u woould use alfoil and vasoline so it doesnt stick i have done a fair bit of fibreglassing subboxes doorpods etc and it would probly en up the same weight as the orginal un less u where a pro cause the amount of bog u would need to get it smooth it just wouldnt be worth it

yeah, better off rolling it out of aluminium ;D

You wouldn't need any bog if you got the mold with as little imperfections as possible, and had a big enough vacuum bag to bag it.
