PS :: i have come across a article (http://articles.domestictunerz.com/article.php?ID=157 )with detailed info on this ... but i wanted to know if anyone has done this on thier pintara

3 wires?? usually its 2. red and black. perhaps the white wire is for connecting the two leds together?
its normally:
black = connect to car chassis (negative)
red = connect to battery positive (On this line, install a switch inline to break the circuit to turn them on and off)
Note: beware, most of these are illegal for use on street driving, only the white ones are street legal. (In victoria anyway!)
-
my friend had them on his vp and a coppa told him 2 take em off! >:(

i think what he meant was that one of the wires is black and white coloured, and the other wire is plain black. the plain black one would most likely be the negative...

You shouldn't have wasted your money. Or time.
-
installation is very straight forward and simple, the only problems i've known people to come across is being fined by the cops which is fair enough too.
-

Some people might say that about your mods to your car.
Don't turn this thread into another one of those rice threads that are all over the net nowadays. It's been done to death and we all know what the majority of people think of leds/neons etc.
-
Gee...so i wasted all those thousands on brake/suspension/engine upgrades when i should have filled my car with rice accessories to be a sick [i seem to suffer from tourettes]?
-
thats a awesome attitude for a moderator to have :-\
this guy is just asking a question , if you not helping he doesnt need your imput
im seriously really getting over some off the people round here , most are good , but theres to many opinionated fools around and its scares me to say that half of them are moderators.

I agree with sssgtr, I don't think he should have wasted his time or money (IMO) however--- I don't think we really need to tell him that.

I'm with Corsair Ghia!!!
I actually don't mind the washer thingies! Only if the car is modded, they do look a bit gay on stock cars but yeh! If it adds character to the car then go for it!!!

so why ask for opinions?
-
thats a fair call actually tasrx ::)
-
no he actually didnt ask for opinions, just assistance on how to install and wire them up.
-
look you all hate us mods anyway, so it wouldnt hurt for me to say 'read the instructions that come with the washer jets first' it isnt really that hard.
instructions would go as follows:
- remove the water connections to your stock nozzles.
- your stock nozzles will simply 'pop' out with a bit of force from the underside.
- insert your led washer nozzles. because they are universal, the have a threaded stem and will need to be fixed with the supllied nuts. this is a bit fiddly
- fit the watter connection to your new nozzles.
- decide where you would like to connect the power to (parker lights, head lights, fog light switch, to the accesories with its own seperate switch)
- connect the positive wire to the positive power
- connect the negative wire to a negative wire or the chassis
- ensure you solder & insulate the connections correctly
- test that they illuminate
- set the water spray correctly
- drive
- get booked by the cops
- post in flames section about those 'c*nt coppers'
- most probably never use them again
- enjoy the multi-directional water spray witch is much better than your stock nozzles
i mean really, how hard is it?
-

if u want to add homosexual character to your car, then they are fantastic! ::)
-
does that mean i have to make you a mod of something tim?

I didn't actually say i like the washer leds; That's besides the point. What i'm getting at, is that no matter what you do to your car whether it be a stereo, a sticker, mags, tint, exhaust, neons, it's all coming to the same conclusion that it is 'rice'. If people don't like it, why whinge about it 50 times? Surely once is enough to get the point across.
And anyway, comments like "You shouldn't have wasted your money. Or time." aren't needed in a thread where the bloke asked for advice, not an opinion.

I concur.

Dont think i've seen them on a U12 before mate, so get some pics up when they're in... Just note that any colour other than white on the front of ur car is pretty much illegal. i've seen people getting around with White nozzle things, I'm assuming they're ok??
You should invest in some LED parkers. I made some up with ultra bright white leds. They look sweet! they're a really cold white/blue colour and look mad... Only cost a couple of bucks to make too!!!
On another note, Can everyone with the ‘that mod is shit/gay’ attitude please pull their heads out of their arses??? It makes the whole atmosphere in here shithouse! ::)
-
any chance of getting a picture of your parkers aussie?

i agree

In future open your eyes and read the instructions, or better yet take it to a workshop to install it for you.
Then you won't cop smart ass remarks from me.
-
there have been led washer nozzles on a u12 as well, if you want something new that hasnt been done before, you gotta be a bit more on the ball.
