Title: Plastic Chroming
Post by: I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout on Nov 17, 2003, 10:44AM
any of you antrx monkeys had this done, or know of any places that do it?  thought I'd ask on here before I went and began my search on the net.   :P

Want to do a few interior bits and pieces and I do know of a place in QLD that does it, but nothing in Melbourne.

theres no point searching for chroming on the internet.. you know what kind of results you will get.

There's one place in melbourne that'll do it, they send it off to jap and get it sent back!!!  $150 for a grill is what they quoted me.

Send it to Jap and back?  Shit, may as well send it to the one I know of in Brisbane or another one I found in Adelaide.

Searching for chroming on the internet doesn't exactly offer what I want

I don't want a glossy chrome finish, but a brushed aluminium look.

Want to do the surrounds for my power mirrors on all doors only, just nice and subtle to match the rest of the ineteriors slow upgrade.

Fake CF is massive try-hardeness :P

I'll email you a pic of the one on my Magna, got it from Emtech Automotive, but Burg Design also make em.

I have a mate that may be able to mill some real brushed aluminium gauge face surrounds for cheap, i don't think they'd cost more than $50 ea.

Spend a bit of coin and you could get your Magna to haul ass in a big way.  Dissappointed I don't have mine anymore, but I'll get back into one in a couple of years, probably a KJ Verada and I'll just pimp it out. 8)

Got any pics of yours Tim-E?  Can't say I've seen it.
