Title: SR20 Water Pump Change
Post by: Kranzy on Aug 26, 2008, 11:43AM
Hey guys,

I know this isnt really a U12 issue so to speak but its in my u12 so theres my reasoning  :P

Anyway my water pump is currently leaking a little bit at the pump so a new one is in order.

What im after is if anyone has done this, and if they have are there any tips and tricks to make it easier?

Having a bit of a look i should be able to get access to most of it through the drivers side wheel arch. Id much prefer to not need to take the engine completely out. I will be replacing my engine mounts so i think ill drop the crossmember and lower that side of the engine down to access it a bit better.

Any other help would be great!

Cheers
Kranzy

Well i replaced the waterpump on a Ti from the drivers wheel arch. Had to turn wheel full lock, remove all plastic guards and removed all the aircon stuff to make it easy.

yeah ive done the water pump in my bluebird, i think i dropped the engine mount out and lowerered the engine down, theres  a fair bit of room there once you take hte belt and pulley off. I ordered a pump for a nx coupe to make it easier.
