Haha sure, which car tho?? Not all have the same coloured wires?? What about the ones that are canbus...what do i do then??
Ahhhhhhhhhh guess i'll never steal a car!!

i can confirm that all really old cars, like 1980's models have wiring with colours like that. Certainly not newer ones though. I was installing a Car kit in a vy commo, you think I could find the accessories wire? there was like 30 of them. so i just grabbed it from the fuse box. :-\

In vy/vz commodores there are 4 wires going to the key barrel: constant, accessory, ignition and start. But you need the transponder key to activate the ecu and get the car started.
You shouldn't get power for car kits from there anyway, if you pull down the left hand side of the centre console trim there is a 6 pin plug with constant, ground, accessory, radio mute and audio inputs.

haha....you should see how hard it is to do an alarm in a new VE!! 2 wires, then run the siren!
Cbus FTW

What's this about alarms for new VEs? Have they made one already?
Take a month off work and look what they come up with! :P
Some CANbus cars still have conventional ignition/start wires coming off the switch, with a data line as well.
