misplaced hose....

ok iv'e playing with the motor abit and put everything back except for one hose. i cant seem to find where it goes. its coming from the black box thingy on the gearbox.?????

My guess is that it's the gearbox breather. On the CA20e it clips onto the front of the air intake just after the AFM. Can you put up a picture?

ive got that too, its a long hose with a U shaped metal pipe in the end of it
its never been connected to anything for me

its a breather hose.there is one on both the auto and manual boxes

Yep. Breather hose. It originally clipped up to the rubber intake pipe, but if you don't have a clip zip-tied to the pipe, just hook it onto something so it doesn't drag on the road and scoop up dirt and water and stuff

Fantastic

Just spent around an hour trying to work out where the end of that hose went!  I have attached it to the plastic clip thingy on the air intake 'hose' that I thought was there to hold the coil lead.

Have just had the gearbox out for a clutch job and not knowing where the hose went to was driving me mental!

Anyway, everything is clipped up, secure and out of the way.

Old guy who should know better than to mess around with old cars.
