Pod Filter Heat Sheild
« on: Feb 20, 2004, 08:16AM »
Hey i was jsut wondering if anyone knew any good shops where i can buy my own, prefably cheap heat sheild, or if anyone has any DIY tips on how to make one. And is it worth doing it? does it make a difference? Im from the Gold Coast, so in that area would be good (for shops)

I got thin aliminium sheeting from a hardware store for 10 bucks and made my own up. It's not the best but it does work. I recall feeling a little bit less lag when the engine got hot after driving in traffic after installing it. Also after a hard drive on a hot day i used 2 feel allot of heat on the pod, it has probably dropped a few degrees. I havn't completly surrounded the pod tho because i am experementing with different cold air scoop ideas.

If i had a digi cam i would take a photo 4 u but i havn't so i aint really any help. ;)
