Ecu Removal - How to?
« on: Apr 9, 2003, 01:29PM »
I need to remove my ECU, but from what i can see the screws are very hard to get to and even harder to get out.

So my question is, how do you remove the ECU in a TRX???
Obviousley disconnecting it from the car is one part and i can do that but unscrewing it from the mount...i have no idea how to do or how to go about it.

can anyone give me any help on how i go about this???

thanks.

There are 4 screws from memory. 2 at  the front, 2 at the back. I used a small ratchet and socket last time i removed it.

Almost.... just two screws at the front holding the brackets. The rear bracket just clips onto the firewall. Takes about 10min to remove an ECU.
