Suspension
« on: Jan 31, 2003, 03:57PM »
Wasn`t sure where to put this so here it is  hehe

I want to put coilovers under my TRX when i get it
Are they readily available from someone like TEIN???

I read on the NSE forums that N14 GTiR suspension will fit
If this is so then the TEIN setup for the GTiR should fit shouldn`t it???

Any help appreciated
What is the point of a signature, who REALLY reads it??

It will? I think they were refering to the U13 Bluebird. Ha, Tein probably don't even know what a Pintara is.....

i was told that the n14 pulsar front struts fit the pintara.. not sure about the rears, i remember reading up on stuff a while back, and i think tein had something that they made for another car that fit the pintara

Yep, front and rear are the same... struts + springs.

Whiteline's fully adjustable setup for the N14 Pulsar/GTiR retails at $3390.

I would most likely choose this kit over the Tein gear, unless of course i could get a Tein setup cheap 2nd hand.

actually, while we're on the suspension topic, my u12 came lowered with fairly stiff springs, and the rear especially is a bit rough over bumps, im going to be raising is up soon, as far as i know, the guy who owned it before me put 200 pound springs in, does anyone know the pound rating of the standard springs, i really just want to find a medium between ride and handling, i dont need it to corner as flat as it does, but it is cool, but driving on the freeway at 110 and having the rear shake u to hell for hours isnt  ::)

It's not your springs, your shocks are most likely stuffed. Yes, softer springs will help, but u'll still need new shocks.

yeah, figured i was up for shocks too, can anyone recommend a particular brand that has in their range a good balance between ride and handling, atm, my car is like a go cart, fun to drive, but i dont need it that hard, and i dont mind raising it up an inch or 2

Shocks: I'd tend to lean towards Koni's if you've got the cash, or KYB's.
Springs: Some standard king springs should do the job.

i agree with sss - if you can afford koni`s then there the way to go

another very good brand is bilstein - i had these in one of my old cars and they worked really well
