wow... that's absolutely crazy...

Ford had a similar problem with the GT90 Concept car of the mid-90's. The exhaust from the Quad Turbo V12 reached about 4000 degrees farenheight, so they had to put ceramic insulation tiles throughout the car's body to keep it from melting!

Whether this 1000Hp Engine will be going into that car or not I don't know, but the race is on for a street driveable 1000Hp XR6T

The largest T of I know of at this time is running 380RWKW (about 650Hp) and It is an absolute weapon already. Fist time out it did a 13.43 1/4mile at 103MPh on street tyres! This was also the first time the guy EVER did a 1/4 mile before and it is a T56 Manual, not a beefed up auto!

There's not much that can compare to 270Rwkw and 700+Nm whacking you in the back at full throttle, we'll not in an Aussie car, that's for sure!

Just found out that this little baby runs 1000Nm at only 3500RPM with the huge turbo and full exhaust. The Motec lets it rev to 7200 instead of the stock 6500 as well! Awesome engine, though I think it's about $35,000

being better than a holden engine isnt anything special, so why do you automatically compare a ford engine to a holden?

Nizpro, which started tuning Nissan engines, has turned its attention to the BA Falcon and its Turbo six-cylinder.
The standard engine develops 240kW of power in the XR6 Turbo and Ford Performance Vehicles will unveil its own tuned 270kW version next month.

But Nizpro decided to go all out and push the force-fed engine as hard as it could.

Nizpro owner Simon Gischus says he built the engine to promote the capability of his Bayswater-based company.

Two of the 746kW engines are on order, with customers prepared to hand over $38,000.

"It sounds like a lot of money, but you would have to spend a massive amount to get half the horsepower in anything else," Gischus says.

"You can never put all of that power to the ground. It's more about owning an engine that has 1000 horsepower."

The Nizpro upgrades are not endorsed by Ford and its warranty does not cover modified engines.

Nizpro recommends owners upgrade their gearboxes as well.

The 746kW XR6 Turbo engine is fitted with a large front-mounted intercooler, special crank-shaft, conrods and pistons, stronger valve springs and an engine computer, but camshaft chain and cylinder head are standard.

Nizpro offers upgrades in stages that increase power to 300kW, 395kW, 450kW and more than 600kW.

Yeah, this 1000Hp engine is on order for a streeter apparently! that photo is of it (the huge turbo) doing 120,000+RPM which I think is like about 30,000 more than what it should!

Plus the 1000Hp is at around 22Pound of Boost, relatively little

First XR6T to break 12 Seconds last night on standard 17" Street Tyres! 11.999@121Mph!

Apparently RDP have the new Typhoon on order and are looking for an 8 second promo car

Credit where credit is due to Ford, they have an engine that with in Two Years is just as powerful and has just as much torque (far lower in the rev range) than the much revered RB26DETT, why do people still say (because it's Ford) it's crap?
