it looks pretty clean and nice...

though I think the price tag might be a bit steep for a learner bike... but that's up to you though.

and being all clean and nice I'd be worried about dropping it...

VTR 250's are awesome little bikes.
Supposed to be one of the best learner bikes you could buy.
They are very popular bikes and such they still fetch reaonable money.
Shop around and keep an eye on the newspapers. You will then find out if the $5500 they are asking is a reasonable price...

yeh went to check it out,
and its been kept pretty badly,

Im gonna go check out a black one (even though I dont want a black bike)

if all else fails, There was a really nice yellow 2001 model for 5000. which I'll end up getting if nothing else pops up

mm i reckon you should have a look at the Hyosung GT250R
Pretty good and reliable learner bikes with heaps of power but the downside to them is they got heaps of fragile parts, meaning if you drop them then say goodbye to the 1.5k in your pocket =P

Indeed the Hyosung's are quiet a nice bike, but yeah expensive as shit to repair.
