G'day Peep Holes- oops sorry - Peoples!
« on: Sep 7, 2005, 09:48PM »
Hi every one,Im pete and I ended up here 'cause Im Thinking about selling my wifes stock R30 and buying a u12 wagon.
Im no stranger to nissans ,my last skyline was a 78 model which I converted from L24 carby to turbo with 6mm over size sleeves and a  p40 Nissan Patrol crank that was offset ground.
At the moment my current ride is a s12 rsx silvia with a std FJ20ET ---------> http://www.pbase.com/s12_rsx/rsx_silvia .
Them pics are 2 1/2 yrs old and its been a daily driver since then so its getting ready for a big freshen up.
Any way Ive been trying to find a bit more info about u12s such as which aussie model had power everything and were sunroofs a option.Which had better build quality ,pintara or corsair and what model wagon was most common for five speeds .
I think what I really want is a corsair ghia with a five speed and factory sunrooof ,was this available at all from the factory?
Any way enough of the rant and hope to own a u12 soon!!!
cheers, Pete.

Im no expert but from what i gather with the pintaras you have your standard model T then theres the luxurious model Ti and then the sports model the TRX. Im not to sure on the sunroof as standard or not, but if your after power steering/windows/mirrors/climate control id suggest looking for a Ti. Not sure on the wagon thing tho...

you will have a hard time finding one, but what you're after is a manual pintara ti superhatch or a corsair ghia superhatch

they're quite hard to find in manual, but if you find one it'll be worth the wait. also sunroofs are fairly rare, but i've been informed lately that a nice electric sunroof is about $900 new

your after a Ti pintara superhatch... the corsair one dun come with the LSD, and yea the superhatches are hard to find in manual... as for the sunroofs, they came out on the sedan models as an option but from what i now they werent available in the superhatches (correct me if im wrong guys)

they were an option on superhatches.  I test drove a Ti superhatch with a sunroof (definitely original)just before I bought my TRX.
