I have owned my lil' beast for near on three years and I've driven it all around Australia from the outback to the city and it's still on fire despite my lack of tlc. I've owned cars from the old reliable to the ultra quick rotary and she's proven to be a perfect combination of all my past cars. I got her straight off the boat from Japan after she'd supposedly done only 77000km. However, she's now strugglin' and instread of palming it off I've decided to sent it on the come back trail and I'm seeking hints and sources in this anti-import car market we call Australia. Bloody Holdens, Fords and insurance companies....who needs 'em. arrrrghh.

Im doin the 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust, Whiteline sway bar kit and hopefully either a coilover strut/spring set or Bilstein inserts depending on the cash flow and the effectiveness.

If anyone has any words of advise please feel free. Don't leave me hangin'...........please!?

Post up some pics of your ATTESA champ.  If you dunno how, email some to me and I will post them for you- [email protected]

I've answered alot of your questions on the NZ bluebird forum, so I won't repeat it all again.  How many ks has your car got on it now?

Until the mounts snap and stab your CV boot :P

Nah, with more solid mounts on the rear bar you can't go wrong.  My car was awesome until the rear mount snapped in half!

Yeah....the Budgie was right.....I'm from the Gold Coast. Thanks for the replies Budgie at the NZ site..haven't checked them out just yet but will soon.

Mine's still totally stock with kangaroo imprints still visible...looks pretty shitty at the moment. Nevertheless, after a wash I'll put up some pics. Its GREAT to find others with the version as mine because I've only EVER seen one that was the same as mine.

Since I got it in June '02 from RMA its now sitting at 180 odd thou km's.....there was a 10+ thou km stint when the odemeter died in the arse.....spewing I ever got it fixed...oops...however it gave me the impression that someone from over the border had messed with it otherwise it would have kept ticking over......didgits noit aligned and all.

Im now really excited about getting her back up to horny spec so again thanks for any input yous (sorry Kiwi's...bahhh) can gimme.

Where's the 'Import Section' on this forum?

& Is there a complete 1990 U12 Nissan Bluebird Attesa AWD Owners Manual available anywhere??

The import specific section is a subcategory of the U12 tech board.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a user's manual available on here, and it'd probably be in Japanese, anyway.

There is a manual, a member on here ATTESA-X who is from japan and a members of 'club U12' has posted up images from it before.

Its 100% japanese however!  Fraz would argue that there are some in English, but I don't know if he has ever found an AWD one?...

There's actually a U12 club!?....What a trip...If its accessible from Qld, I'm in baby!! Keen to see others like mine (Counterpunch) if they're ever on the Goldy. Just pm me.

With regards to the Japanese Manual....if anyone has an AWD Manual it could be translated via a program. If I can get ahold of it I could translate and save in a PDF format. Can someone get the ATTESA-X or Fraz guys to play ball??

This club/forum is the closest thing you're gonna get to a U12 club. I'd estimate 1/2 to 2/3 of us own U12s (or UA Corsairs). On the last cruise in the Brisbane area we had 20 cars, 10 of which were U12s :D

I'll put up some pics soon but in the meantime these aren't of mine but they're of the same model and color.

These are of the same rear headlights as mine just I have no spoiler...dunno if I like these spoilers or why one would feel them neccessary but each to their own I suppose.

Jack, that image is WAY to big to use for your signature.  If you want to use it make it the same size as mine or smaller...

EDIT- Don't worry mate, looks like you figured that out yourself!  Also, looks like your car is exactly the same as Hughs ATTESA (Craazy HNU12).

Nah....Craazys' wasn't the same one I saw a couple of years back in Robina Town Centre (GC). The one I saw a couple of years back had a smaller FMIC (as well as bonnet scoop...huh?). But it was also white, pillars and a manual.

Btw....Craazy.....the time consuming and no doubt frustrating work you've just completed is a huge motivation...thanks and congrats! I was in Melbourne a few months back....(I'm originally from Eltham)....thought I saw one in Donny or somewhere near Box Hill etc...may have been yours? However, I didn't drive mine down.

Did yours come with those skinny perspex visors on all four doors when you got it....mine had all four when I got mine but they disintegrated over time and no one knows where to get them from...are they possible to find?...I'm thinking not...arrgh...liked 'em.

I'm about to take some photo's before it gets dark so I'll put some up tonight....haven't washed it but give a fuck....I still love her.

I ran up the rear of one brake riding old fella 6 months after I got it... :-[....twas insurance job so I just made sure I chucked in the scoop with the repair work. Never wanted to do it (loose sleeper appeal) but was becoming concerned that in the heat of nth qld (where I was moving to at the time) that I needed it, which I certainly did. Im glad I opted for the scoop at that point instead of the initial plan of FMIC as I hit a bloody kangaroo 18 mths later :P.

Things will change one day....the 600x300x76 will be a winner!! But Im starting from the driveline first next week...sways and exhaust.....hopefully coilovers soon thereafter. Im in no hurry at the minute but...wanna make absolutely sure its the best of everything. Comfortable with the whiteline sways....Im sold on those....but still unsure of what coilovers....

just occured to me that either i am confused, or budgie is confused.. i think its budge, caue he's an asshat :P the book i have is the one that comes with the car, not the fsm. its got a lot more info in it than what the domestic models would have, but not stuff like aligning your power windows :P
