hic cup ?
« on: Oct 16, 2003, 05:17PM »
My car tends to do this when i put my foot down a bit to much from idle, from the sounds of things it's choaking on too much air or some thing, other then taking it a bit slower is there any thing i can do to help reduce this cause im positive it'll bugger up any quick start i wana try. Seams a bit odd since it's fine when you floor the thing from about mid onwards.

I'd suggest one of your sensors is fucking up and the ecu is sending a bad mix of air / fuel.

I'm not a mechanic or anything, just a suggestion buddy !

its something to do with air fuel mix in the ecu, mine does it as well, aparently noss's chip will help reduce it, the other option is aparently get it tuned to run a little richer and it dosent do it as often.
i originally thought it was my injectors, but i got them flushed etc and it didnt fix it so......
its a problem that is difficult to pinpoint the cause
And there's not much I can say
But we miss you every day
And I'm bitter 'cause it's unfair
We'll be drinkin' in the sun
Playing music having fun
Cause one day I'll see you there

I figure it's just the old old problem of "choak". I remember when my dad use to have pull choak cars & some of the problems in my car seam similar to when you tried to run one of them on choak lol. Once the car is hot it runs at lower revs and more smoothly so im basicly assuming that it's cold running thats the problem "shrugz" cant be much else could it ? Auto choak on quite a few models of that time cause similar problems at start up.
