EJ20T
Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

Hehe, I was being sarcastic.  Anyway from the Nissan engines I've experienced in person I'd have to say the RB26DETT, I know there are better Nissan engines but I've never been in a Nissan faster or better all round than an R32 GTR,  so theres no point saying my favourite is the <insert nissans best engine> because that'd only be based on someone elses opinion.

Go the holden aussie 5L oh crap i mean RB26DETT.
Not that i have been in anything other than a RB30E and a CA20E and a KA24E so i would not really call myself an engine coinessuier.
(if its spelt wrong then kiss my arse)

My favourite nissan engine ATM is the e15et. If you haven't been to www.N12tubo.com u should check it out. Those guys are doing some pretty insane stuff with a little 1.5 turbo pulsar.

it has to be the rb26dett, besides the obvious point being that it comes from the gtr( nissans hero car), it's the easiest engine to get good power out of without needing to open the engine up, getting a new ecu, or doing much or any fabrication.

Also another plus it has over engines such as the vg30dett,vq30/25de/tt range and the vh45 ect lies in the fact that it's a straight six, where as you'd think this would be a disavantage( in a properly engineered racing engine it would be) but in comparison to nissans v engines the straight sixes have a lot more internal strength, along with the fact that there a lot more compact.

it's also one of the larger nissan straight sixes yet it's still over square alowing it to rev damn hard, while this does nothing for torque levels it certainly more then evens out in total power production.

yes it is rated very highly by most people but for good reason, the only reason it seems so over rated is because other engines of similar stature are extremley under rated, such as the 1jzgte

endounadably old chap

I'd have to say either an RB26DETT or an RB25DET Neo (there's just something about it)

RD30DETT - pwnz0re

EDIT: Jess Christ, theres no such thing as an RB30DETT? I was having a go at the pointlessness of the thread to indicate that it's of no relavence to anything - Much the same as my having to edit my post here

note: you wrote RD instead of RB the first time.

if you think the thread is pointless then dont post in it. i think i read about 30 of your posts that were completely pointless but it appears your post count is quite a bit lower now

anywho... what did the FJ20 come out of?
it came from an RS skyline i think it was r30 (coupe) a guy i went to school with owned one and it was very nice however it wasnt delivered locally so its a bit rare the fj20et wouldve been in other stuff as well and is it true the fj20et is a dohc? i reead they only introduced the "D" after the engine was made?????

If somebody asks you, "can I ask you a question?" and you say, "no",  you're actually answering a question. Think about it....
