Yeah, that's my handy work  ;D

There's a fair bit of work involved, but it's pretty cheap to do.  Materials set me back about $30.

Here are the steps I took in changing the trim

What u need.
1. Funky coloured vinyl
2. Thin foam underlay (to retain that nice squishy feel)
3. kwik grip glue stuff
4. phillips head screwdriver
5. screws (flat type)

Method
1. Remove the entire door trim.
2. On the back of the trim you will notice screws holding in place the top section of the trim. Remove these and seperate the top section.
3. Remove the part that goes along the window from the plastic bit.  It is held in with staples and can be pretty tough to remove.
4. Remove the old vinyl from the top section and scrape any foam/glue off the plastic.
5. cut your new coloured vinyl and a sheet of foam to a similar shape to the grey vinyl removed. (bit larger helps)
5. place kwik grip glue to back top edge of the plastic section and clamp the the foam and new vinyl to it (foam underneath), streching it along the top of the trim. When it's dry reattach the part that runs along the window. (I used really flat screws to put it in)
6. once the top section has dried, it's just a matter of stretching the vinyl accross the plastic section glueing it to the reverse side.
7. allow to dry, screw back on and done!!

It's a bitch of a job, but looks pretty cool... i might be changing them to a light grey colour if i get the time.  the blue is just way too out there!

Do you have a Gregory's or something like that champ?

Anyway... here's how you do it.

1). Take a piece of wire about 20cm long.
2). In one end, make a u shaped hook about 1.5 - 2.0cm in diameter.
3). With this, hook the hook into the gap where the winder arm comes out.
4). Move the hook so that it 'hooks' around the shaft of the window winder.
5). Now move the hook around underneath and then back again until the clip gets 'unclipped'.
5). Be ready to catch the clip or find it on the ground!!! Talking from experience fellas!!

The first time takes a bit of effort but after that it's so bl**dy easy you won't know yourself mate!!

aussie-gli I think if you got black/blue seats/covers, mats, steering wheel etc. then the blue would like really nice and complimentary. Great job though !

my trim is sorta on, but because it wasnt moulded like the original piece there is, how do i say it?, giant air bubbles? in it.  Which makes it look kinda dodgy,  :(

U really have to work the vinyl and strech the crap out of it over those kind of sections.  That'll get rid of those weird bubble bits...   8) Post some pics when u get a chance
