I was wanting 2 respond 2 the thread posted in General Discussion about ka24 4wd's but it's been locked..
anyway.. at the last drift meeting in Adelaide ( Port Gawler) there was a Nissan Nevara rear wheel drive in the comp. It wasn't turbo'd and from memory it wasn't LSD equiped.
It was doing alright, it was able 2 smoke the rear tyres a fair amount but nothing really special when compared 2 what it was competing against.
Anyway... after attending the comp i started thinking how i would really love my trx 2 b rear wheel drive. Obviously it would b no straight forward conversion but for some1 who knowz what there doing and is a mechanical genious would it b possible 2 convert a pinny 2 rear wheel drive if a KA24 North 2 South motor was stuck in along with full Nissan Nevara running gear?
believe me i realise that this would not b no easy conversion but im stil linterested 2 know!

just a question, if your going to go thru all the trouble to go rwd, why would you bother with a ka24? they're really expensive compared to import engines, and obviously, although they're great engines, they have less power.

you know the easiest way to do it would be to buy a silvia/skyline or whatever, and then remove the body shell, and then stick you pintara shell on.
still a big waste of time whatever way you go about it.

Damn straight. the headaches trying to get it registered wouldn't be worth it.
trxadelaide: it's NAVARA with an A
noss: VH45DETT (
) not VQ, that's the V6.
a RWD U12 would be nice....but the engine bay isn't long enough for a longitudinally mounted engine.
