here is a note i found in regards to pod filters etc.
also since i had my car tested by the EPA again last friday they did confirm this with me

but seriously is a cop gonna take off my front quarter panel to figure out if i have a oiled filter, and check the curcuitry on my ecu. but if he found something noticably defectable would engineering check that stuff out if i got a yellow sticker

the only way you can gave the defect removed is if you get an engineers certificate or if you remove/correct the items you have been defected for.

No.
And if you have a piggyback ecu, have it hidden well. They're not going to tear apart your interior looking for one.

most will try and just get you for a pod coz most think they are all illegal, just to help all of us know that we can have them
as for ecu's only if it is noticable that it has been played with ie: extra wires that obviously shouldnt be there.
engineering wouldnt check it out either, it would just be a roadworthy tester and if they think it is not roadworthy coz of anything, the defect wont be removed until all is fixed to the standard that they want, all roadworthy testers have different ideas bout things for some reason.
engineers and roadworthy testers are usually not the same people aswell

Does anyone know if this is the same in qld? Or if there is anyone that can find out exactly what qld laws are on pod filters?

I'm 99% sure what hugh posted applies to everywhere in australia, as they are from the ADR.

So would this make cai legal than providing you stay within the guidelines above?

Sorry for being such a dumbshit but does anything need to be done to get it certified or is it ok if everything you use is adr certified?
An over-riding caveat on the above is that if the system has been type tested (ADR certified) by an approved or accredited emissions lab for the vehicle type to which the mod or system is fitted then they are accepted.

if everything you put in has an ADR stamp on it then you dont have to get it certified as it already is

That is handy info to have due to the fact i have a dry pod in plain view under the bonnet. so It's all legal then, That's great.
