wheel compatability
« on: Apr 15, 2006, 10:07AM »
hey. i've had a brain wave on how to get cheap wheels, i was at pickles auction's the other day, and saw a lot of wrecks with mags. i hate the wheels on my car and have decided that buying a wreck, swapping the wheels and running them back thru the auction with my wheels is a good/cheap way of getting a set.

question: does any1 know wat cars have the same offset and stud pattern as the u13 bluebird?

much appreciated,

happy easter, stay safe, blah u no how it goes

thats actually not too bad of an idea.  just hard to find one with a good set. often there is at least one missing cos they change the wheel which got a puncture, or people strip the mags off.   But i like your thinking.

i second that. the pickles website has pictures of all the damaged vehicles and some do have mags. I wonder if you can buy the car and put it back through the auction again a day or week later. meaning theres no need to even move it from the auction yard.

My mags came off a 180sx and have the perfect offset... So for starters, S13's and 180sx's have the same... Cefiro's and Laurell's also.

I agree with Jono.  I have seen 4 door Skylines with 4 stud factory rims however I'm not sure if they were an R33 or R32 Skylines.  I have suspicions it was an R33 Skyline.

If they're four-stud, find out what offset and width they are and see if you can test fit them. The offset and width of the tyres determine whether or not they'll scrub on your guards.

Oh and if you're using your car for driving lessons I'd think twice about putting expensive rims on it ::)

Guys I need a confirmation ASAP. Are the U13 wheels 38mm offset? There are some wheels I found on Ebay brand new, for $699 18". 4x114.3 and 38mm offset...

Who thinks that I could force 19"s onto my Pintara?
Im going all out with my car, project DRFT  ;D
So 19's seem acurate enough for off track usage lol
Opinions? 18's or 19's?  :D

I don't know of anyone who has 19s on their U12. 18s seem to be the biggest people go.

I think that this is correct, but can someone confirm that the following configuration will be a good fit for the U13?

43 offset

Those Lensos are sex they will look hot on the U13. Lenso has some good rims! The S7 Modify rims lenso have would realy suit a U13 imo.
