Standard Nissan front engine mount
« on: Jan 2, 2003, 04:53AM »
Has anyone priced a genuine new item? If they are in excess of $150, i *may* be able to manufacture custom solid urethane replacements.....i have done one for my own car, pictures are available.

You could try, but personally I wouldn't bother. The front mount is $150 and only available from Nissan. :( Had mine replaced about 6 months ago.

ahh the front engine mount question.. is that the one u can see, like directly behind the radiator??

i can get these for 96 dollars including gst, non genuine

dont search nissan, search ford for these things!, aftermarket companies who makes these parts tend to focus on holden/ford range, thats why most parts are cheap as.

if u cant find any mounts from part suppliers, ill do an enquiry on all the mounts needed for the pintara, which i should have already done ;) woops.. ill get onto it asap :)

Ok, it was gonna cost about $150 for the solid mount anyway ($100 for the 2 part urethane and $50 for aggravation.... ;D)

Does ford have cheaper CV boots (outer) than $88?

The engine mount off a 92 hyandai excel is pretty much identical to the mount on the ka24, but not the ca20.  They're about $90 and a bit harder than the std nissan ones.
