Give Nelson a ring from sydney guard rolling.

He is great. he did my CRX and I had to pump the crap out of them!

If i remember correctly majority of the problem with the pinny's is the sides of the guards moreso than the top of them...

I have 225's on mine coz the tyre fitter put the wrong ones on but they look nice so i kept them, but with someone in the back and a decent bump it scrapes.

i tried hitting mine out but with not much gain so i took it to a panel beaters and the lip that is usually on the inside of the guard needs to be intact for them to do it easily and relatively cheaply, but in my case they wanted 250 for the rear guards to be rolled

sounds like you need more than a guard roller, more like paint & panel or fabricator to sort out those guards. it may be the inner skin rubbing up under the arch.

or get the correct fitting wheel and tire package. ;D ;)

ride height, rim offset and different tyre brands could all be slightly different.
not all 225's are made to the same width or shape as another breed.
camber could be a factor as well.

well im at standard ride height. Falken Ziex 512 known for running smaller than the size rating. 18x8 +38. My falkens seem to be a bit stretched but not crazy. If I was lowered i still dont think theyd scrape since the shoulders are angled like this   / also my camber is a little negative
