Who cares how much it weighs, think of it's traction being FWD.

In a boosted AWD car you should snap it off the line, esp with more power.

I've seen GTR's do it, they arn't light. Maybe marty is still getting use to it, I don't know.

But im sure the evo can get quicker 60ft times than that.

thats slow, you should be able to get quicker 60ft times than that in a awd manual.

for god sakes, my mates eg k24 civic does a 1.6 60ft.

http://www.dragtimes.com

just doing some research, which I suggest you do before posting comments like that.
1.8 is about the average for 12.5 second passes in an evo, (I did a 13.3 remember)
I found one civic on that site doing a 1.6 and he did an 11 second pass, so how bout you show some time slips?
Wanneroo (Barbagallos) short track time 63 seconds (58 - Evo) long track 79 (69 - Evo)
Mods - Bosch 910 fuel pump, Nismo 555cc injectors, Z32 AFM, USB Bikirom, Full Whiteline Handling Kit, DBA Rotors, Tomei Poncams + GT2871. (174ahkw)

i would have though that weight and even awd would have been a massive part how quick (or slow) you take off in a drag. increased power losses means less power to the ground and well weight, thats obvious. just because every toss in a wrx thinks its smart to launch at 4k+ rpm doesnt mean everyone does it..

also fwd can be dramatically improved by wider, better tyres, semi slicks or even launch control.. which honda guys seem to love.. means they dont have to have as much skill  ::)

i've seen a 12 second fwd turbo lancer take off with no wheelspin and all the guy had was road legal semi slicks and driving skill.

Hondata launch control is only a rev limiter.

you sure that sr20det is making 182 @ the wheels? If it is then it should be doing much better than a low 14, I am guessing there are traction issues big time! Having the same power as mine in a car that would be nearly 200Kgs lighter, a low 13 surely isnt out of the question? Or is it?
