Tinting Tail lights
« on: Jan 12, 2003, 02:48AM »
Have any of you guys tinted your tail lights??? I wanna do mine but I just dunno which way to go. Aussie_GLi or someone did theres with window tint and it looks ok. I just don't want to spray my lights and find out it looks like shit.

Plus you can get knocked back for rego (NSW), I read the rule book. Has anyone ever been defected for it??

Lisa: Dad, we did something very bad! Homer: Did you wreck the car? Bart: No. Homer: Did you raise the dead? Lisa: Yes. Homer: But the car's okay? Bart & Lisa: Uh-huh. Homer: All right then.

Was it really tricky to do?? I mean did you push it into the grooves on the indicator section of the light??

Nah, not that difficult. had to do it in 2 strips though. Brake light section, and indicator section.  Up close u can see a few crinkles etc around the edges... looks alright though...

The spray "Night Shades" works really well & u can spray on a number of coats depending on how dark u want it. Not sure if it comes off when cops give u a canary. Does anyone know??

I've got that Night Shades stuff on my tails, looks good but it would be a real be-atch to take off if the boys in blue don't like your style.  I'm thinking of taking the night shades off and trying a silver tint on my tails.
