new wing for my trx
« on: Jan 30, 2006, 12:52AM »
WEll a couple of months ago my spoiler got pulled off my TRX...not happy.
Instead of putting it back on a want to try something different...has anyone got any ideas. I dont like those big GT wings but something thats not as boring as the standard wing.
Cheers

i dunno if it'll fit, but perhaps a wing/spoiler off an R31? the ones with the brake light in the middle?

or an r32 wing - tho i'd imagin that'd require sum modification?!?!

good luck!

im not sure, but what ever you do dont get one of those crappy little wings that i have seen on a pintara T / Ti model.

Its like this wing simialr to the TRX wing but thinner and doesnt go all the way down to the side of the car.

it is elevated a little also in the middle.

Kinda hard to explain, but yeah. DONT GET ONE OF THEM - - > THEY ARE GAY!!

Hmm I say TRX's look better without wings (personal opinion, but I'm with bungs  ;D)

Maybe for something different get a r34 wing???

turn your trx spoiler around. for the sake of being different. I've never actually bolted mine in like that but it looked ok. just didn't match the rest of the car.

I do like the look without the wing(except the wing mounts are still there). Is there any place around melbourne i could go with heaps of wings i could just...sit on the back to see how they look?

It looks so much betta with out a wing, rustproof the holes up, after sanding of course, bog em up and repaint. wings dont do anything besides weigh the boot down, only to have split your skull open with the boot latch  some day. ;D

There are countless Nissan wings to try out, go to a body kit shop and try em all out till your hearts content, but dont expect them all to bolt up. You need to make new holes for some wings and patch up your old holes or just put washers over them, then put in screws for each hole, bolting them from underneath the boot, just in case you want to use those holes in the future for another wing. Thats what I have done. Unless you have a crazy body kit and your car is lowered, then don't bother.

Even then, I think the dumped look and a good custom rear bar looks good without a wing, like mine. It took me a long time to find a wing that was well suited for my custom look. I only use the GT-wing for track use only. Wings are over rated these days. If its not a real wing, and your not gona use it for racing, it does nothing, don't bother at all.

I would rather keep that to myself.  Besides I have not been there for a while cos my cars been in the work shop for ages. Next time just message me personaly and ask me questions because this is not about me and were I race, its about helping some one style their car, so we better stay on topic.

And what would that be? Too good to be true? what is it with you people who can't come to understand how easy it is to race your car on a track, you just pay the $50-100 bucks and race in the non race car events/drift day etc.  I'm no pro, I race for fun, any one can go do it and there is about four race tracks around that I know of. I don't have to race profesionly to know how wings and arodynamics work. You think your real funny hey, go do some laps then talk to me.

Thank"you" come again /end apu
