The best part of my car
« on: Jan 24, 2006, 10:10PM »
Well as you can tell I'm very new to the modding game but I thought I'd post up a picture of my interior at its current state. Feed back would be lovd and any possible improvements or add-ons. (Please excuse dirty state...just back from mechanics  ::) ). And props to Tim (complexity) for the boss kit!

sounds really good cruizer!

btw the guys from Southern Hi-Tech Dyno were gonna give us some stickers but they didnt get them printed in time, I talked to one guy and if anyone still wants to you can ring em and at the start of febuary or mid febuary (cant remember when he said they would probably be ready) you can ring em, and nab one for free :)

Glad to see the boss kit going to a good home cruizer!! That steering wheel is sexy!!! You're interior is looking nice and clean (ie. straight-forward)! If you like the sticker keep it, as you said. I liked my ricey pedals and I kept them. As someone said previously do the gear-knob and get a better gear-boot.

Also good interior things to do are painting all the consoles, centre, stereo-surround & wheel surround. Use a nice subtle colour and then get matching seat covers. If you can also do the door skins (pods, whatever you call them). Probably matching subtle colour to console repaint colour.

yea do door trims if you're looking for something more than just gear boot and nob. Also put the antrx sticker on the back because antrx is mainly focused on pintaras' boostcrusing is all about getting chromies, tachos and tacky body kits nuff said :P.

Looks good and i dont mind that nismo sticker as it's kind of subtle. Dont go overboard changing/painting your interior because what happens if in a year you hate it? I would try and stick to mods that can be removed easily. Anyway good luck with it, so far you've done well.

yea mods that can be undone easily are awesome.. i painted my centre console silver, took me a few goes to get it remotely good, and now, i think it looks like shit.. so yea.. just be wary.

an antrx sticker on the back windscreen would be cool i reckon although im not a fan of stickers on the front. and the nismo sticker looks kinda cool

Getting rid of the rubish and puting the carpet back in place on the passenger side would be a start (just taking the piss out).  Get a gear-nob and gear stick boot-glove, custom handbrake handle and glove, sports peddals and some real nice floor mats, I got checkerd plate on my floor. That will get it happening some more. The you move on to the tacho's, custom re-trim, bucket seats and stuff like that.

Checker plate ?

You have crap taste.

any chance we can see some photo's Hiro?  I've seen some setups where the checker plate looks s*** hot and others where it is only half that (ie s***).
I spent my money on sothern comfort and speeding fines, the rest I wasted.

Yea I know, but I just don't care whats legal or not, if I get defected again I can kiss driving it on the streets goodby ever again. There is far too many modifications to go back to being legal now. Then its just gona remain a race car and show car, under the (Race/show section).

At the moment my car is up on the hoist getting some gearbox modifications and a new turbo setup, so it will be difficult and I don't have a digi-cam. At the moment I am using rubber checker plate that looks very real and I'v had it for ages.  But I am looking at using real plate eventualy, probably when I get back to modifying my audio setup at the rear - were I have taken out the back seats for the two subs that sit were your back is suposed to lean on (both sides). So its no longer a five seater, its a three seater, as it has a back rest in the middle, the part you sit on is still in the car, just not the top part. So the part that folds down in the Ti is the middle seat, it needs to be modified a bit though. If you look at the picture of my car on the left, you can just see what I mean by looking through the window at the rear. I would rather put up pictures when most of its already done. RichTRX has some pics of my car and engine bay he took a while ago, you could bother him to put some of them up, because I have tried and he has taken ages to do it. Keep in mind though, they were taken mid last year.

I'm no huge fan of nismo, but that sticker looks alright

my formula: simple + subtle = succulent2

with the fold in your carpet, just use some glue on the top left corner.
i had the exact same fold, just smeared a bit of KS bond on and worked a treat.

Ok, here is two photo's of my interior, one with the chcker plate floor mat you wanted to see. Keep in mind that the door trims and center console are getting re-trimmed in yellow vinal, as well as a lot of other parts of the interor. I am going for a yellow and silver look.

I got to get rid of that damn brown, it never came with my car, it was done as a change over for the purpose of being re-trimmed, while the original Ti stuff - (door trims, center console and the part under the steering wheel) were sold to a mate of mine who use to be a member on antrx...Munky, who now l drives a 1988 model Toyota Soarer after selling his Bluebird over two years ago, who last time I spoke to him, blew both his turbos in the Saorer.
