installing racing seats??
« on: Aug 8, 2006, 07:33PM »
i have ordered some racing seats from a place i know in the eastern states and i was just wondering if anyone who has done it yourselves before, is there any difficulty? whould i have to "edit" any of the rails? oh yeah an before you ask, yes they are made to australian standards. from what they look like in the pics, i think they just slide onto the stock rails.
any info would be appreciated,
cheers - im outy  ;D

I have Cobra Monaco's in my U12. I had to fabricate adaptors to bolt the seats to the stock rails.

It depends on the seats and how their brackets are configured.

UPDATE!!
they are in, YAY!!! i got them in really easy, the stock seats have (not easily) removable rails, so i took them off and drille a few holes in the right spots for the racing seats and they are in perfectly, oh yeah the drivers side site jus a lil too high but i know how to fix it, they look so good, pics really soon. i just have to borrow rathies digital cam.
cheers  to you guys for the advice

there is a shifter/boot and pedals but we figured it wasn't worth taking pics of cos they're nice but not overly fancy.
