dynamat extreme
« on: May 6, 2008, 02:23AM »
..is love

I bought a big pack worth about $400 when I first got the patrol, came with 8 sheets, more than enough for 4 doors on a u12 or just enough for 4 doors on a GU.
I put 2 layers on all 4 of the GU doors, inside the light panel and on the outside part (behind the trim) of the heavy panel. Anyone that has been in my car can vouch for the dead quiet when all the windows are up and the doof doof from my 6" speakers that is louder than some subs.

So if anyone here is keen about making their car comfortable and improving the sound from their stereo i thoroughly recommend dynamat or similiar.
I'm currently in the process of pulling as much out of the patrol as I can (selling the car) its sticky shit once its been there for a few months but i'm glad to say i'm getting most of it back.

anyone else tried it?

yeah im using a combinbation of dynamat and a generic sound deadner. Bloody good stuff, the improvement in mid bass response is amazing, gotta hear it to believe it. Anyone buying decent splits and not sound deadening is a douchebag
