A vaccum line on my intake manifold....

i just noticed recently that this vaccum line is missing and i have no fucking idea how it came off   :o



does anybody know where this goes? coz i have nfi....

On my two engines it just has a rubber cap over it.

but when i put my finger over it, it keeps going down to like 500 rpm and sounding like its gonna stall....i dont have aircon or p/s.....got me stuffed

That is for cruise control to my knowledge, so has a little rubber cap on most cars.

clear you ECM memory, as your IAC valve may be compensating for the extra air(=higher revs) - a learned parameter.

then plug it and check revs, if idle is still low then you'll need to do a bit of trouble shooting.(check the tech section)

you may even need to reset your iac, to do this take the iac valve out, clean it then push the pintle back in plug it back in and run the car
(it should now idle at 2k)  then just hold the revs at 3k or take it for a drive to reset the valve.

Dead right mate.  On the NZ bluebirds that came with the CA20E and were fully optioned (ZXE's) they had a mechanical cruise control system that uses that line.  One of Fraz's 13 cars has it...

It should be blocked off on aussie U12's and UA's.
