sorry couldn't resist. I got a slightly modified stage 2 chip fitted recently.
first impression when i started the car was it sounded a little throatier. driving out of the shopping centre it didn't seem any different but as i got down the road just driving normal it felt more responsive, when i put the boot in feels great.

you might remember adamjtrx? when he was selling chips, he offered to install it into my ecu for free. so i let him. lets just say that i had to buy a new ecu. thats why i dont recommend anyone doing the installation themselves unless they do electronics for a living/hobby

and make sure you install the chip the right way. if you insert it in the socket the incorrect way, chances are when you try start the car you will fry both the chip & the ecu

i just cant get the solder to stop beeding up! I know how to desolder i got the wick and the .32 solder. I learned how in engineering class but the problem is i cant resolder it cause the solder keeps beeding up and its pissing me off.
and dont worry i got an extra ecu so if i mess up i can still get around.

well, as the ECU board leaves the factory, they gave it an anti corrosion coating which must be removed by use of acetone or nail polish remover.

well, let us know when u got it back and installed.
