Q. on interchanging parts
« on: Dec 27, 2003, 11:12AM »
To my understandin anything that can go on a u13 bluebird fits on our u12's right??

Or is this just a wrong assumption. I am asking cos i visited the whiteline suspension website and i couldnt find any springs for the u12 pintara.

yes EVERYTHING is interchangeable.  In fact there the exact same car they just changed the chassis code for the hell of it.  No need for backyard engineering here.

Apparently springs from the N14 series pulsars fit, Koni shocks suited for lancers also work too.
An oil filter relocation kit to suit a Ford V8 uses the same size thread and filter as the KA24.
I could go on all day!

If your are still talking about the u13 stuff to u12, no, sorry. I was being sarcastic mate  ::). Some stuff fits some doesn't.  Front Struts fit if you get the springs and sprint seats and dust boots and so on.  Thats about the only suspension item I'm positive we can use from them.

Most of the parts that are listed as interchangeable on that site are US only, so aren't much good to us unfortunately.

just remember that only this last week beefy tested & fitted n13 pulsar springs & verified that they fit the u12. they are however a little shorter, which obviously wouldnt be a problem if you setup the rest of your suspension properly.

Yea i had that in mind but then i want to do this mod properly, so i'd wanna have the whole shabang. Oh yea and a proper strut tower brace just to stiffen it up a bit. cos i plan on doing some serious sprints/hillclimbs.

yea, thats too bad.  I kinda thought this was a weird question in the first place, cause I didn't think you guys got the u13 at all?  Or did you get it, just without the ka24de?

Nah.. we got the u13.. And it does have the ka-24de.. i think..

But the question was if the whiteline suspension packages made for the u13 bluebird fit on our u12s???

well that depends on what all comes in the suspension package, but chances are you will get some  stuff that won't fit.
